This Colonial Revival-style house at 2122 Kanawha Avenue was built in 1922 for Mr. and Mrs. Roger Atkinson Young. It was designed by Charleston architect L. T. Bengston, who also designed many other residences and public buildings in West Virginia. In 1951, it was sold to Morris Harvey College (now the University of Charleston) and has since been occupied by the school's presidents. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
