Stephen Lee Fesenmaier (1949-2025), who received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Minnesota, directed the film services division of the West Virginia Library Commission from 1978 to 1999. He co-founded the West Virginia International Film Festival, the West Virginia Filmmakers Guild, and the West Virginia Filmmakers Festival. He formerly wrote film blogs for Graffiti magazine and the Charleston Gazette.
